20th March 2008 Summer 2008 outdoor dates announced
18th Feb 2008

Track Maintainence Day 24th Feb, 11am onwards.

The club needs all available members to come down and assist with the a clean up of the track as once again this has recently been flooded.

What ever hours you can make it, please attend, and we do hope to begin planning in club days again, possibly as early as 9th march.

4th Nov 2007

The Rostrum is currently at the outdoor venue and needs transporting back to indoors. We will also need 2 more uprights collecting from my work as the others have been used to store the lawmowers on at the outdoor track. (the floods destroyed to old wooden storage shelves.)

If no-one collects this we will have no indoor meetings (this includes the regional and Supercup !) So if you have a trailor or large van (possibly a large roof rack may also be ok), please phone or PM me before the weekend.

IF NO ONE DOES THIS WE CANNOT HOLD MEETINGS INDOOR !!!

Update: Big thanks to Shane Foot. Rostrum now moved,

21 October 2007 2007/2008 Indoor Buggy fixtures added.
10th August 2007

Track Maintainence Day

The bulk of the work has now been completed, thanks to all those who helped out.!

However the club needs any available members to assist with the final work to the track. Anyone who can attend on the Friday evening prior to the regiona,l (perhaps those camping could help also?) should meet from 6pm.

28/29 July 2007

Track Maintainence Day

The club needs all available members to come down and assist with the track repairs. As you probably know the rostrum was destroyed in gales earlier in the year. Jim Dixon has been working overtime and constructed a new section for the conainer top. We need lots of hands to help get this secured on.

Also the track has recently been flooded, so we need a big clean up.

What ever hours you can make it, and whatever jobs you can do, be it painting, cutting grass or even just collecting litter, will all hopefully go towards having a useable track again. The priority is to get everything done before the regional, however once we have that over with we do hope to begin planning in club days again.

07th May 2007 Touring Meetings : Jez would like to inform all members that due to the Bank Holiday weekends, and other commitments, there are no Touring dates scheduled at present. He does plan to arrange further meetings, but states these will only continue if there is enough support on a regular basis (even actual paid up club members often do not attend regularly). If you want this side of the club to continue, please attend !!
25th April 2007 New- First outdoor buggy dates added.
22nd Mar 2007 There will be a Batley Buggy Club members/committee meeting on MONDAY 2nd APRIL, at the sports centre. All Members are requested to attend for 18:45. Adjenda to follow.
22nd Mar 2007 Owing to refurbishment of the sports hall floor, the next Touring car meeting will now be on Saturday 21st April.
17th Jan 2007 New touring dates added.
07 Jan 2007 Next Touring meeting is Sat 13th January. NOTE: Owing to an event booked earlier in the day, start time will be 17:30 PROMPT. Hall must be cleared and empty by 10pm. This earlier event allows less racing time to normal, so Jez has requested everyone be punctual and assist with the track (both layout and put away). Jez has provisional bookings up to Easter for every other Saturday (in rotation with Garforth). As soon as the sports centre confirms acceptance, dates will go on Fixtures page.
05 Dec 2006

Please note that there has been a mix-up with the dates for the race meeting at the sports centre. The Buggy meeting scheduled for this sunday 10th December cannot take place and will now be replaced with a meeting on the following Sunday 17th Dec 2006 (11.30am to 5.30pm) Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Membership forms and an amended calendar will be forwarded to all members by post. Dianne will be taking membership renewals at this meeting on the 17th.

Please pass on this message!

01 Dec 2006

The last TC meeting was a success with around 35 drivers. Jez is working to obtain more of the same new style carpet so the whole track can be covered in the same type.

Also everyone is welcome to the final meeting of the year , where there will be an excellent array of prizes, kindly supplied by various UK RC distributors.

25 Nov 2006 Jez has just been in touch and asked me to make you all aware that the next Touring car meeting will have some NEW CARPET ! I know this has been a request of many of the drivers who felt the old carpet required a different setup to other clubs. To resolve this the TC team from Batley have gone to great lengths to provide carpet the same as other successful local clubs. Continuation of the TC side depends on your support, so please do attend & pass the word around.

First Oudoor Meeting Announced - 24th April 2005

The first "date" on the out door calendar will be the 24th April.
The format will be slightly different to usual. The start time will be 10am, with the first tasks to be maintain/repair the track. Once we have completed this those who have assisted in the works will be invited to "race" FREE of charge. We hope to be able to offer about 3 rounds, depending on numbers. This will also offer us the opportunity to test out the latest lap counting equipment and race software which the club has recently purchased (PT compatable!). If those attending have any tools they could bring along (cordless drills, power saws, spades, paintbrushes etc...) this would be appreciated. The more people who can assist on the day , the easier the tasks become, so don't be afraid to attend

A complete outdoor calendar will be posted very shortly.

Change to Touring Car Series Tyre rules:

We have counted up the votes and suprisingly "Open Tyres" was he most popular option.

So from the next meeting 7th February the tyre option will be open. The only restriction will be NO MINI PINS and of course strictly NO ADDITIVE!

Can I take this opportunity to mention that this change has come about due to requests by drivers. We will make every effort to keep as many of you happy as we possibly can. It would of course be nice if this were repaid by more drivers helping with the track.
